On February 6, 2013, the Nigerian Content Unit of the Supply Chain Management Group at Addax Petroleum in Lagos launched a pioneering initiative by holding the first Executive Vendor Management & Strategy Seminar entitled “Performance and Delivery – A Catalyst for Growth Opportunity and Nigerian Content Development”.

The programme’s objective is to increase awareness and stimulate Nigerian Content performance, achievement and societal impact through capacity building and competency development in a manner that adds most value with respect to Nation building.
Over 200 participants from the various sectors of the oil and gas industry and related sectors of the Nigerian economy attended this seminar, including key government representatives such as M. Ernest Nwapa, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Content Development Monitoring Board. Addax Petroleum engaged the services of Industry Professionals and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within and outside the oil and gas industry to deliver presentations.

Another highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to twenty indigenous companies who have demonstrated outstanding performance & service delivery. They include: ACM Nigeria Limited, Arkad Oil and Gas limited, Bell Oil and Gas Limited, Botro Marine and Oil Services Limited, Coastland Energy Logistics Limited, GFL Marine Services Limited, Global Energy Company Limited, Hallmark Global Petroleum Limited, Hamilton Technologies Limited, Hobark International, Kaztec Engineering Limited, Link Technical and Scientific Limited, Lonadek Nigeria Limited, Mansfield Energy Nigeria Limited, Mosunmolu Limited, Petrofields and Services Limited, Seabulk Offshore Limited, SOWSCO Nigeria Limited, Technical Partners and Logistic (TCPL) Services Limited, Weafri Well Services Company Limited).
