The Sinopec-Addax Petroleum Foundation sponsored the 11th edition of the Swiss Red Cross Ball and was represented at the event by its Chairman, Mr. Yi Zhang, its Board members and their guests. All proceeds of the event will be used for the "Victims of Forgotten Disasters" in the following countries: Sudan, Ghana, Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador and Cambodia. Under the theme “Silk Road” in the Year of the Dragon the ball hosted prestigious Chinese artists: the celebrated actress Michelle Yeoh, the talented stylist Guo Pei, and the contemporary ballet company “Shen Wei Dance Arts” who was given the honour of opening in 2008 the Beijing Olympics and have recently performed at New York’s famous Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Since the launch of the Swiss Red Cross ball in 2002, more than CHF 6’600’000 were raised for humanitarian aid projects.
